Base Proof 50p Coin Packaging

Following our concept design work on packaging for the London 2012 Olympics 50p range, Flow was briefed to create new product packaging for a range of ‘heritage’ base coins being produced and marketed by The Royal Mint.

The theme for this range of coins was ‘Celebration of Britain’ and our approach was to reference British heritage themes in both imagery, illustration style and titling. We tackled this in a number of different ways, picking up on relevant themes within the original brief document and visualing them with unique graphic solutions.

As the project developed a photographic approach was chosen and we adapted our designs to reflect this, sourcing and licensing appropriate imagery to reflect the 3 coins being offered in the range.
